Trees are vital to life on Earth.

Trees naturally absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere during photosynthesis and produce the very oxygen we breathe as a byproduct. When forests are cut or burned down, carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere which contributes to further global warming (by absorbing/emitting infrared radiation and trapping heat that would normally escape into space). While water vapor is the most common greenhouse gas, carbon dioxide is the most abundant anthropogenic greenhouse gas (meaning one we, humans, can and must manipulate).

As we continue to witness the climate change at ever alarming rates, reforestation is more necessary now than ever before. That's why YouGoghGurl is a proud partner of the 501C3 nonprofit organization One Tree Planted. One tree is planted for every purchase made on the site, no matter how big or small. Together we can help the Earth recover one tree at a time.
